Everything you always wanted to know about Classic Barbering*(*But were afraid to ask) is a one-day condensed crash course provided by Old-Time Barber Academy at Retro BarberShop, Texas.

Our program touches essential barbering skills, tips, tricks that no one has told you about and has kept secret for decades.

Our training program is a hands-on course with real models, which will equip you with unique techniques and experience that will take you on the path to a successful career as a professional Barber. This training program is suitable for any fellow professionals in the hair industry or any novice Barbers freshly out of Barber College who desire to be motivated and inspired or simply want to expand their barbering skills with the goal of taking men’s hairdressing right back to the high level where it belongs at our Shop.

The Old-Time Barber Academy Courses do not supply tools (e.g. clipper, shear…etc) for training. We provide real models and we pass on our knowledge to students, and we accompany our students every step of the way in our training program.

Our training and demo’s are in American English. However, program summaries are also available in Spanish, German or French language. If you do not speak any of these languages, you are welcome to bring a translator with you during the training course.

In Texas, the standard voltage is 120 Volts. Please be mindful of the different voltage for your tools if you’re traveling from a different country. At our school, we do not sell voltage adapters.
